Farm Living in the Lap of Luxury
Featuring hardwood floors and a comfy queen bed, the Garden View Suite is a cheerful, oversized suite bathed in natural light from the seven windows and two French doors!
With both a sunrise view, a sunset view as well as farm and garden views, this amazing suite is over 375 sq ft and boasts its own private bathroom with oversized shower and Terra Pure, Green Tea Toiletries. Although a part of the Bees & Trees Farmhouse, this guest suite is completely private offering its own parking, separate entrance and outdoor sitting porch. With the owners living in the attached home, guests have the best of both worlds—privacy when wanted yet a simple text to the owners will secure any need a guest might have—perhaps a bottle of wine or some fresh towels for the hot tub? Weather permitting, take a dip in the saltwater, in-ground pool or enjoy a lovely fire in the spacious outdoor fireplace while you relax in front of amazing views that include the Blue Ridge mountains, fields of corn, flower gardens and even fields of Christmas trees! At night, take in all the stars and constellations with a view that makes you feel like your sitting on top of the world. Want to stretch your legs? Why not explore the farm? Walk to the barn and visit the owners’ miniature donkeys; Eeyore and Tigger or their Nigerian dwarf goats; Sebastian, Flounder, Ariel and Patches. Their cat, Olive, will take all the back scratching you want to give her! These animals are the owner’s pets and they all love people! The farm also raises honeybees, chickens and Black Angus cattle. A small commercial flower garden, "Sarah's Garden," is being developed. On the opposite end of the home is the Bees & Trees Farm Store, a small boutique farm shop where the owners sell cuts of their own Black Angus beef, honey and eggs. They also sell local wines, pantry products (like butters, jams, syrups and salsas) honey-based teas as well as their own private-label coffee and gifts. If you can buy it at a grocery store, you probably won't find it in The Farm Store as the owners try to offer new and different products local to the area and sourced in Virginia. The store is open Wednesday-Sunday from 10-4 PM but can be opened to accommodate the needs of overnight guests. A light breakfast of muffins or croissants, fruit and juice is available for purchase with 24-hours notice. Coffee k-cups and bottled water are offered for free to guests and sodas and juice are stocked in the mini-bar for purchase. Want something different? Our Guests' Reviews
Everything was as great as it looked online. Teresa and Jeff are the most gracious hosts. She offered dining suggestions that turned out to be the best choices for us. Upon arrival, she showed us around. The rental is a perfect getaway for couples. Great accommodations all around including the shower, fridge and outdoor seating. Plus an added bonus is Bees and Trees being a working farm with an outstanding little store. Will be back.
--Michael G. "What a great stay! beautiful property, wonderful hosts, very private and enjoyable. It was like staying at a 5 star private resort. Within the 5 nights we stayed we were able to sit by the fire and relax and visit family. Also, take in some of the local winery’s. We also had the opportunity to bond with the goats and buy goodies at the on-site store. A special thank you to our hosts Teresa and Jeff for making our stay a memorable 40th anniversary !!"--Ron & Tara "An oasis full of great comfort, high quality furnishings and a peace of mind to remember for anyone needing a break from stress and work! We highly recommend this farm suite that has tranquility and relaxation written all over its footprint!"--Jeff & Nancy |
