This will be the last weekend Bees & Trees will have its tree wranglers to help you shake and bale your Christmas tree.
The Bees & Trees Tree Wranglers will be available Saturday, December 7th and Sunday, December 8th from 10 AM - 4 PM but unavailable after that.
You may still purchase a tree after this weekend, however, if you do, please bring your own "muscle" when you come!
The Newfies Were Here... The Newfies Were Here!
Opening weekend for Christmas-tree cutting just wouldn't be the same without the Colonial Newfoundland Club joining us on Thanksgiving Saturday and helping our customers cart their trees from the fields to their cars!
The beautiful Newfs--often called gentle giants--have been cart trained and are specifically qualified to carry loads such as these trees.
We deeply appreciate and thank the members and their "babies" who come to our farm and make our opening weekend so special. See you next year!
Tree-Cutting Weekend... Second Biggest Ever at B & T!
With Thanksgiving weekend--the first tree-cutting weekend at Bees & Trees--now behind us we gratefully acknowledge all those who helped make it the second best opening weekend we've had in our eleven years!
First, we must thank all of our customers--our loyal followers who return year-after-year and purchase their tree from us--and the many new faces we got to meet this year! it is you, the children, the teens, the parents and grandparents who make it such a special weekend for us here at Bees & Trees. We are thrilled that you enjoy coming here and hope to see you again next year--remember, we'll still have those gorgeous pre-cut Frasers for sale every year and the Newfies will continue to be here the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Second, we must thank our staff , the ones that actually make this weekend possible for you to enjoy! The sheer volume of guests that annually visit us this weekend make it impossible for us to host this weekend without our staff/elves! We deeply thank Michelle, Ann, Sean, Ben, Koda, Mikey, Jose and Daniel. You guys actually make the dream possible. Most of our staff have been with us since the beginning and have become our extended family. You guys are the best!
Finally, we want to thank our vendors--Travelin' Tom's Coffee Truck, Law Dawgs Hot Dog Truck and Son Of A Bear Ciders. You all kept our customers fed and happy and for that we are exceedingly grateful. We received so many wonderful comments about each of you! We look forward to having you back soon!
For those of you who have reserved a tree but haven't picked it up, please remember--if you want to have your tree shaken and baled--our tree wranglers won't be here after December 8th!
Merry Christmas everyone!
Bees & Trees Hosts "Christmas in Nov." Open House
Guests who arrived early, enjoyed teas from True Honey Teas and caramel apple cider as they waited to enter the Farm Store, farmhouse and Airbnb
Bees & Trees held its first Christmas in November Open House last weekend hosting 94 guests for this inaugural event.
"Initially, we had wanted to limit the event to 80 ticket purchasers in two different time slots due to the limited size of the store, farmhouse and Airbnb" said Teresa Gregson who, with her husband, are the owners of Bees and Trees Farm.
"But then so many people wanted to bring their family and significant others that it just grew a little larger than we'd planned. The good news is that it never felt too crowded and we now know that our space can accommodate more people if we opt to have a similar event in the future."
At the Open House, guests were able to shop for holiday merchandise, pantry products and gifts while enjoying delicious small bites and appetizers crafted with products from The Farm Store and prepared by Classic Catering, LLC of Northern Virginia.
"Classic Catering did an amazing job for us," said Gregson. "We received a number of really positive comments that night about how delicious the food was and, since the event, we've had several customers return to purchase a number of our products that were used in the recipes that evening!"
Gregson said that introducing Bees & Trees' pantry products to a broader customer base was one of the reasons they created this event.
"We always encourage customers to try a sample of of our products before they make a purchase in the Farm store--we keep fresh samples available just for those opportunities.
"We want our customers to be sure they really a product before they pay for it! We also tell them about recipes we've tried using our products--but telling them about a recipe is quite different then letting them taste it for themselves!"
The Gregsons want to thank each of the guests who attended the evening's event and helped to make that event so memorable.
"We truly have the best customers," said Gregson, "many of them are becoming like extended family, they brighten up our day each time they visit!"
The Gregson's will be creating additional events in 2025 aimed at making Bees & Trees Farm a relaxing gathering place for customers and turning those customers into friends.

Guests' Comments... Re: Christmas In November Event
After tallying up the returned comment postcards we've received from nearly half of the attendees at our first 'Christmas in November' event, we have some great suggestions and results to share!
First, everyone loved the food! That's always nice to hear and we have shared that with Classic Catering. They did an amazing job and were so easy to work with!
Second--and we heard you loud and clear on this one--should we do this event again, we need more seating! We're not exactly sure how we accomplish this unless we add a tent outside which could be tricky with colder weather, but we understand and we will consider all options!
Third--each food station needs its own utensils, napkins and plates so guests can easily jump between stations
Fourth--we need more cold-drink options particularly if the weather is as warm as it was this year. These are all great suggestions that were repeated frequently in the comment postcards, however, other suggestions (mentioned only once or twice) will also be given careful consideration. We sincerely appreciate each of our guests taking the time to let us know how we can improve this event by completing their postcard. And, it's not too late to send yours back if you still want to!
We also want to acknowledge our appreciation for the wonderful messages we received about our home, Airbnb and our decorations. It was such a fun evening for us and we appreciate those of you whose attendance made it so special.
Do let us know if you re-create one the recipes from the night's event. Send us an email and share how those worked out for you! You can even take a photo of the dish! Just email us directly at [email protected]
ONLY AT BEES & TREES... "The Virginian"
Bees & Trees has recently added a new gourd to it's collection ofgourd birdhouses!
Called "The Virginian," and designed by Bees & Trees Farm, this birdhouse celebrates living in Virginia with a painting of the Commonwealth's bird and flower--the cardinal and dogwood. It's a design you won't find anywhere else.
These birdhouses are handcrafted and hand painted by the Amish from their own dried gourds and have a life span of 2-3 years however, wiping them clean after use and bringing them indoors for the winter will prolong their life by several years.
The Farm Store has sold out of the first two dozen of these gourds and are now taking pre-orders for the next two dozen. If you are interested in owning or gifting one, you may call the Farm Store and have your name added to the reservation list.
We anticipate receiving our next order of these exquisite bird houses by the first week in December and, when you order one, we will contact you to let you know when we have them back in stock. At that time, we will also re-list this product on our website for purchase.
2025 Calendar of Events!
With 2025 just around the corner, we'll soon be releasing our Calendar of Events Page for the new year. Look for it in the menu bar (at the top of the page). This is where you'll go to find out; when we're doing events here on the farm, when Son Of A Bear will be doing tastings, when the farm will be closed for private events, when we're having sales on our beef cuts and when the tasting room is scheduled to be completed, etc.
We are looking forward to offering you lots of new opportunities to participate in fun activities here at Bees & Trees in the coming year.
"The Gazebo" at Bees & Trees Farm is the newest addition to the farm's offerings. Catering to weddings, vow renewals and family reunions and small gatherings, this intimate venue will comfortably accommodate groups of roughly fifty. For more information, see our Weddings/Events page on this website.

Fox 5 DC Names Bees & Trees One of Five "Must See" Spots In the Culpeper Area!
Bees & Trees Farm was recently designated one of the top five best places in the Culpeper, VA--defined as a "must see" if you are in the area by Fox 5 DC. Obviously, owners, Jeff and Teresa Gregson were thrilled with the designation.
"Nothing can prepare you for a compliment like this," said Teresa Gregson. "We have tried to create an atmosphere on the farm that brings people together and infuses joy in the lives of our guests, and to find out that other people like what we have created is tremendously satisfying."
Featured in the brief video clip are the farm's signage for the store, driveway, one of its goats (Sebastian), their honeybees, a number of their hens, their farm store, their Airbnb and even their event Gazebo!
"They certainly packed a lot in the 40 second clip," said Jeff Gregson, "but that clip really gives you a good sense of what it's like pulling into our farm and what you'll see once you get here!"
When it all started--
The Gregson's purchased their 43-acre farm 11 years ago and have tried to improve the farm's agri-business offerings to the public each year they have been open.
"We're just a big ole work in progress" said Teresa. "We believe if you're not constantly evolving, you're probably missing opportunities."
Bees & Trees first opened a Christmas store in 2013 and made it year around selling local wines, hard cider and specialty food products and gifts in 2015. They added their gardens in 2016 and 2017.
In 2020, they began construction on the "The Garden View Suite," their Airbnb, and completed it in the fall of 2021. Since listing the Suite on Airbnb, the property has been named "Guest Favorite" and the owners have been listed as Superhosts consecutively for ten quarters.
They began building out their event space (aptly named "The Gazebo") in the spring of 2022 and finished landscaping, installing a paved walkway and all the needed electrical work in 2023--they hosted their fist wedding the summer of 2024 and they say there are even bigger things to come in the future.
What's up for next year--
Beginning the winter of 2025, Son Of A Bear Ciders (owned by Ric and Cary McMahon) will be leasing ground at Bees & Trees and building a tasting room to be completed by spring. The tasting room will also provide space for the intimate weddings and events that the Gregson's will be hosting
"We've been carrying SOAB hard ciders in our Farm Store for years and everyone loves them, they are amazing!" said Jeff. "This is a family-run company whose values are comparable to our own and we are thrilled to bring them onto our property."
"We consider ourselves a gathering place, said Teresa, "a place to bring people together, share special times and create meaningful memories. The more opportunities we find and develop that embrace that concept, the better Bees & Trees will be.
"One of my favorite sayings is the best is yet to come," said Teresa, "and I believe it with with all of my heart."
Tasting Room Coming Spring 2025 to Bees & Trees Farm
After weeks of social media teasing, Bees & Trees owners, Teresa & Jeff Gregson, announced during the Culpeper County Harvest Days Farm Tour, their collaboration with Son of a Bear Ciders to build a tasting room at Bees & Trees in the Spring of 2025.
Son of a Bear Ciders is owned and operated by Cary and Rick McMahon owners of Teaghlaigh Vineyard in Rapidan, VA.McMahon” means “son of a bear” in Irish Gaelic and “Teaghlaigh,” pronounced “tay-la,” means “family” in Gaelic. They have truly infused their Irish heritage and their love of family into every drop of every variety they make.
"We are thrilled to have this wonderful company join us here at the farm," said owner, Jeff Gregson. "Theirs is a small, family-owned and operated company--like ours--and they are all about customer service. We can't imagine better people to work with or a company that's a better fit for our our farm."
The Gregsons own and operate The Farm Store at Bees & Trees and have been selling the Son of a Bear line of ciders and cysers for a number of years now.
"We always loved doing tastings with SOAB's products," said Teresa Gregson. "People who've never tasted their ciders or cysers are drawn to their flavors and smoothness after the very first sip".
"We call it the perfect pairing," said Jeff, "and we look forward to welcoming them here permanently this Spring!"
Soon you will be able to identify which weekends they will be selling at Bees & Trees by checking their website at SonOfABearCiders.com or this website.
